Crowned with the Best Global Artist Award at the Amsterdam International Art Fair in 2012, Loes van Delft has since become even more successful and a powerful key player in the art market. Her artworks are booming and becoming a huge investment for contemporary art collectors.
The paintings of Loes van Delft combine an innocent quirkiness with a cheeky cartoon feel. Blurring the borders between fine brush strokes and commercialism the characters are endearing, charming and amazingly vivid. Over the years Loes developed her very recognizable character which she calls ‘Pjipje.’
The young award-winning artist is taking the art world by storm. She exhibited amongst others in New York, Amsterdam, Paris, Knokke, Taipei, Eindhoven, Brussels, London, Miami, Johannesburg and will be represented this year also at Art Central Hong Kong. She is represented by Cobra Art Gallery in Amsterdam, by Louise Gallery Durbuy, Belgium and 3 Punts Galeria in Barcelona where she recently exhibited alongside Banksy, Mr. Brainwash, Blek Le Rat, D*Face and many others.
It seems Loes has the spark that touches many art souls. Playboy NL magazine did a huge feature on her work. In 2012 Loes participated in the real life television documentary ‘Connected’ which gave her, and her work, national exposure. She mingles globally with the famous and collaborates with world famous fashion brands.
Loes graduated from St Lucas Art Academy, June, 2012. During her studies she did an internship with creative team Supperclub in Amsterdam where she had her first solo exhibition in January 2011. She also customized sneakers with Leyp at a Dutch festival, Pinkpop, and took part in decorating sneaker shops in all major cities in the Netherlands.
