The expressionist work of Peter Devolder is spontaneous and sensitive.
He rips paper and sticks it on canvas, not in a destructive way but shaping and creating.
He creates new forms, not shying to “cross the lines”.
He combines mixed media like paper, board and textile, sticks these together without smoothing inequalities but he elevates the unevenness as an intregrated part of the artwork.
Goal is to reach the maximum expression with minimal resources.
